Happy Earth Month, Leaflets! With two weeks until Earth Day, our planet’s special holiday, this month’s wallpaper reflects the awesome green space that we celebrate every day in Gainesville. Ashley, Visual Storyteller, photographed this piece for Gainesville Fashion Week as part of a five-part series that illustrates man integrated into situations of growth and nature, reflecting the GFW 2014 theme “Inspiring Growth.” Ashley created this piece, titled “Exponential,” by first questioning the bigger picture of growth. Her discovery led to a darker perspective behind the simultaneous nature of growth and death: as people grow, something inevitably dies. This particular image was inspired by the Fibonacci sequence and the exponential nature of growth in mankind and in nature, Ashley said.
